01Target: 5 sunlight · 9 water
AcornDew
1 + 4 = 5 sunlight
6 + 3 = 9 water
A little hindsight for the garden from , UTC. Here is one way to make every sunlight and water target add up.
Each bed below uses two cards. Together, these three pairs use all six cards exactly once. The two calculations under each pair show how it reaches both targets.
Target: 5 sunlight · 9 water
AcornDew
1 + 4 = 5 sunlight
6 + 3 = 9 water
Target: 8 sunlight · 9 water
BrookEmber
6 + 2 = 8 sunlight
4 + 5 = 9 water
Target: 8 sunlight · 3 water
CedarFern
3 + 5 = 8 sunlight
2 + 1 = 3 water
Check the supplies against the pairs above. A card contributes its sunlight and water together, so both totals matter when choosing its partner.
| Card | Sunlight | Water |
|---|---|---|
| A · Acorn | 1 | 6 |
| B · Brook | 6 | 4 |
| C · Cedar | 3 | 2 |
| D · Dew | 4 | 3 |
| E · Ember | 2 | 5 |
| F · Fern | 5 | 1 |
Matching sunlight alone can leave a bed short of water, and a pair that suits one bed can leave no workable pair for another. This arrangement satisfies both totals across the whole garden, rather than solving one bed in isolation.
This is one valid solution. Other placements can also win if they use every card once and balance every bed. Our Glen Balance rules and strategy guide explains the six-submission limit, scoring, and ways to test a pair before committing.
